I’m going to be carving a door with fun wood and a fun design.

Using old growth redwood, reclaimed wood from barrel staves, that were cut in the 1880’s. I’ve proposed this idea in a 9 ft. door with a 24 inch round circle at the top with 2 adjacent side lights. The door  is 2.25 inches thick to have these discs carved deeply around each round light will become less thick as it dissipates away until it’s only the outlines of discs.  The carved sample has one corner cut away in a 24″ diameter.
